Zibo is an important industrial city in China. it’s located in the middle of Shandong Province, an opening city in Shandong Peninsula designated by the State Council. It has a total area of 5,938 square kilometers, total population of 4.16 million, and 2.75 million within the city proper.

 
 
 

Zibo Municipality has five districts and three counties under its jurisdiction, namely Zhangdian District, Zichuan District, Boshan District, Zhoucun District and Linzi District, as well as Huantai County, Gaoqing County and Yiyuan County as well as a national-level economic park- Zibo High Tech Industrial Development Zone.

  Zibo is a national-level sanitary city, provincial-level garden city. The city proper is 160 square kilometers, 38.5% of which is green
space. Zibo has a relatively developed infrastructure and public service system. The city supplies nearly 1 million cubic meters of water to its citizens a day, with a power load of 2.25 million kilowatt. A total of 400 million cubic meters of piped natural gas is supplied to the city every year.
 
 
  Zibo is a model city for its scientific achievements and cultural industry. It serves as the research and development center for Shandong Province in ceramics, chemical industry, pharmaceutical, silk, and metallurgical industry. There’re 837 research institutions, and 250,000 technical professionals.  
 
  There’re 12 colleges and universities in the city, with nearly 93,000 students. 85 professional schools provide 25,000 trained workers to enterprises a year.
